Juergen Teller's book Zimmermann (documenting Raquel Zimmermann in southern Germany) prompted me to go exploring through the back catalogue of his work... all with a very irreverent and unmanufactured tone. The dirct, open style is seen in his first portraits from around 1986 of Elton John and Kurt Cobain and his recent ad campaigns for Yves St. Laurent, Comme Des Garçons, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang and others.
